On May 22nd 2008 I became the proud owner of two new knees. Ten days in hospital, three months off work, and the goal of walking, not hobbling, down the aisle at Carina and Rick's September wedding are only some of what's to come.

Damn mom! Look at you go! That's nearly as fast as you were taking stairs pre-surgery... so you've got to feel pretty good!
Absolutely *amazing* Marilyn! I can't believe that you're already able to do stairs. What progress from just a few days ago...and to think that you're allergic to the pain meds that you've been on. You must be excited to find meds that will work better. I imagine that your progress will speed up even more when you're on suitable medication. weee hooooo! :)
Oh, I meant to tell Jess to tell you...my dad (Maurice) wishes you well. His partner had a double knee replacement a few years ago. Apparently he's doing extremely well now and can get around with no problem and said it was such a relief to have functioning knees again (of course...).
hahaha...that would be from 'Wendy', not whatever I wrote by accident (wer n? I don't know how that happened :( )
Holy Cow! Marilyn that stair climbing of yours is inspiring! You should feel so proud of your recovery pace! I saw you a week ago, and I never would have thought you could be climbing stairs so quickly!! Good on you! You'll be home sooner than you think. xo darcy
