Pain, pain pain!

It appears that the pain meds I have been taking are either no longer strong enough or the physio has caused lots of strain. Wichever it is, I am ready to try dilodin again (1 mg) along with a half of a gravol. Hopefully this will reduce the pain. During the night I could hardly turn over or get up to go to the washoom without acute pain. Not fun! At 5:45 I tried the additional drug. Let's see, I hope it helps. Stay tuned.
Physio at 11:30 again and I must be able to move.
Until later,
Marilyn

Good morning Marilyn,
So sorry to hear of the pain you have to endure. Sure hope the docs find something better that works for you. Definitely pain relief will go a long way to help your recovery and motivate you in physio. Insist on it.
But I am impressed with the video of you on the stairs, and glad to see you'll be able to get upstairs to you own bedroom when you get home. Patrick and I are taking a day off today - sort of a reward to me for the mad end of fiscal year rush I've had at work this week. Strange I seem to wake up earlier on days off than I do on work days sometimes. So that's why I'm checking on you early today.
I see you have the problem of not sleeping through the night in hospital too. Hopefully if the pain is controlled, this will get better. Do they allow you a sleeping pill? That's the only thing that worked on me to get a full night's sleep in hospital. That, and going home to my own bed.
Better days are coming. You're heading in the right direction. Rah rah dis boom bah, YAY MARILYN!!! I write this while waving my pompoms. You are getting better every day.
Love Iro

Hi Marilyn,
Just spent some time getting up to speed on your blog. I have had my brother in town and my Mom has been sick. This is a great idea to document your experience and progress with this surgery. One of my colleaques has had the same surgery about three weeks ago and has ventured out to the office. He is also complaining about pain control. You sound like you're normal self Marilyn - determined to forge ahead and face your reality. You will certainly have a great result with this attitude. I was thinking of how much your dear dogs miss you but sounds like Chris and your family are looking after everything while you are away. Great news to hear you will be going home soon. Looking forward to seeing you soon and having a nice chat.
